Automation Student

To emphasise the importance of stable regeneration within the field of automation, Automation Region arranges an annual student competition for the best automation related degree project – Automation Student. The award has been distributed since 2010 by Automation Region, Svenska Mässan (the Swedish Exhibition and Congress Centre) and also the trade association Svensk Automation (the Swedish Automation Trade Association). The winning entry is rewarded with a scholarship of 20 000 SEK.

Competition rules

Competition degree projects must have been carried out within the field of automation and production technology. Automation encompasses automation technology solutions within the process industry, discrete manufacturing, logistics and property. The field of production technology comprises basic control and regulation technology, process optimization and production management as well as hardware and related software technology.

Automation Student is open to students from higher vocational education and from three- or five-year higher education and university programmes. The competition degree projects must have been carried out during 2024 or later.

Here you can register your entry to Automation Student 2024. Acknowledgement of your registration and further communication will be made by email; therefore check that you have entered your correct email. We require the degree project to be submitted in pdf format. The degree project must be written in English or Swedish.
