Automation Region is proud to be a part of The Nordic AI & Quantum Node, a strategic initiative aimed at solidifying the Nordics as a global centre within Applied AI & Quantum. The initiative is developed in partnership between Automation Region, Swenode.AI, Nordic Innovation, Business Finland, Innovation Norway and Innovation Centre Denmark.

“Through this initiative, Automation Region is further strengthening its commitment to IndTech, while creating improved conditions for Swedish industry to accelerate the adoption of AI. By joining forces with strong partners across the Nordic region, we can build a globally significant ecosystem where AI is applied responsibly to unlock potential, create value, and address the major technological and geopolitical challenges of our time,” says Catarina Berglund, Managing Director of Automation Region.

Closer collaborations across borders

The initiative focuses on strengthening the Nordic ecosystem by fostering closer collaboration between the region's ecosystem actors, researchers, industry leaders, and scale-ups to accelerate cross-border innovation. It is designed to create strong synergies and unlock greater collective value by aligning existing capabilities, programmes, and investments across the region.

Through launching joint global programmes and structured knowledge-sharing activities, the initiative aims to accelerate AI and quantum applications with a strong focus on Nordic values. The initiative enhances the region's global positioning and influence by presenting it as a trusted, high-impact environment for AI and quantum investment and talent attraction. By acting as a unified ecosystem on the global stage, the Nordics can amplify their voice, visibility, and competitiveness.

Next Stop: NVIDIA GTC 2026

To support these ambitions, a series of flagship activities are planned for the launch in 2026, including high-level events, curated delegations and exclusive matchmaking sessions held in connection to Nordic and international conferences.

The first major activity will be a strong presence at NVIDIA GTC 2026, held on March 16–19. The conference offers a unique platform to explore cutting-edge technologies that are shaping the future of enterprises and global market dynamics.
